Community Service

Community service is a cornerstone of Vicksburg Catholic School. Vicksburg Catholic School believes that it is through service and positive core values that the members of the Body of Christ carry on the work of Jesus and make God visibly present in the world today. Vicksburg Catholic School strives to prepare students for a lifetime of service to community, in addition to academic excellence. 
 
Community service projects of Vicksburg Catholic School include or involve, but are not limited to:
  • United Way of West Central Mississippi 
  • Community races/Walk --YMCA Run Thru History, Chill in the Hill
  • Mississippi Special Olympics 
  • Good Shepherd Community Center 
  • Storehouse Community Food Pantry 
  • Toothbrush Drive for local agencies of United Way of West Central Mississippi 
  • Annual Diaper Drive for United Way of West Central Mississippi 
  • Trunk or Treat  
  • Knight of Columbus Drug and Alcohol Awareness Program 
  • Altar Serving for various churches 
  • Immediate Disaster Relief Collections 
  • Operation Christmas Child, Good Samaritan Program 
  • Homeless Mats 
  • Advent Angels 
  • Jacob’s Ladder
