Graduation Requirements
Vicksburg Catholic School students have a college-prep curriculum. Graduates complete twenty-eight (28) Carnegie units as follows:
English - 4 units | Math - 5 units (Algebra I+4) |
Science - 4 units (Biology+3) | Theology - 4 units |
American History - 1 unit | Geography ½ unit |
World History - 1 unit | MS Studies - ½ unit |
Government - ½ unit | Foreign Language - 2 units |
Economics - ½ unit | Health - ½ unit |
Personal Finance - ½ unit | Physical Education - ½ unit |
ACT/SAT Test Prep - ½ unit | Elective - 1 unit |
Fine Art - 1 unit |
Computer - 1 unit (course/proficiency
that meets MS graduation requirement
for Business/Technology)

Effective with the eighth grade class in 2017-2018, graduation requirement increases to 30 total units including an additional social studies and an elective. Students transferring to St. Aloysius after ninth grade may have non-state requirements waived and, under certain circumstances, may graduate with fewer total credits at the principal’s discretion.
