Drawdown on the River

What is a Drawdown?

Vicksburg Catholic School has held a drawdown annually since 1983 and it is consistently SOLD OUT. The proceeds from the event directly benefit our students and our school.

Ticket numbers are displayed on screen and stage during the event and as each number is called, it’s removed from the board, allowing guests to follow the action. Beginning with the first ticket drawn and then later at various points during the evening, DOOR PRIZES are given to ticket holders present. When only ten numbers remain, ticket holders are invited to the stage where they decide to split the pot or continue the drawing. If a ticket holder is not present they have not signed the back of their ticket to split, the drawing continues. The same question is presented after each draw until an agreement is made to split or a winner is announced.

During the Drawdown, guests are able bid on an expansive Silent Auction. With over 100 items, there is something for everyone! Trips, artwork, jewelry, electronics, tools, gift baskets and more will be on display, as well as artwork created by our students.

Drawdown raffle tickets cost $125 and each ticket includes two meals and one chance to win $20,000! Buyers have the option to purchase Insurance for $25; Insurance guarantees your ticket will remain in the bin through the first fifty tickets drawn. Buyers also have the option to purchase a $25 chance for an additional cash prize drawing of $2,500. If a buyer purchases one base ticket with both of these options, they are eligible to purchase an additional base ticket at a discount for $75.

Thank you to everyone that supported Vicksburg Catholic School's 41st Annual Drawdown on the River and Silent Auction! It was a HUGE SUCCESS for our #FlashesFamily and many people went home winners!
