Donna Carpenter

Donna Carpenter received a B.A. from Louisiana Tech University and a M.Ed. from University of Louisiana—Monroe. She serves as a Senior English teacher at St. Aloysius High School.

In her career, she has been named STAR teacher, Teacher of the Year, and has earned National Board Certification through the National Board of Professional Teaching Standards.

She believes that “Education is not to be viewed as something like simply filling a vessel with water but, rather, assisting a flower to grow in its own way.” The role of the teacher is to help the student see he has the ability to accomplish whatever he sets his mind to by giving him the tools to cultivate his potential.
